Dr. Pari Prahalad
Dr. Pari Prahalad has proudly called North Carolina home for the past 23 years and is deeply connected to the Triangle community. Her path to dentistry is rooted in a genuine passion for patient care that began right here locally. She first earned her associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Wake Technical Community College, then continued her education at Meredith College, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. Before entering dental school, Dr. Prahalad worked as a dental hygienist in the Triangle for five years, where she built strong, lasting relationships with patients and developed her hands-on approach to compassionate care.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at ECU, completed with distinction. Her commitment to excellence was recognized with the Certificate of Merit for Achievement, Proficiency, and Promise in the field of oral medicine, awarded to dentists who demonstrate outstanding dedication to patient care. While at ECU, she also served as vice president of her class for two years and was selected as a student interviewer, helping shape the next generation of dental professionals. Her clinical training included community-based rotations across rural North Carolina, including Brunswick, Jackson, and Harnett counties- providing care to underserved populations, an experience that further strengthened her commitment to accessible, empathetic dentistry.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American General Dentistry Association, and the North Carolina Dental Society. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Prahalad loves to travel, paint, and hike. Dr. Prahalad is looking forward to meeting you and discovering how she can best assist you!
